The second-year netminder from Elks Grove, Illinois stopped all 40 shots faced for his second shutout of the season in a 7-0 win over Komoka on Wednesday. The 7th round pick of the Windsor Spitfires in 2024 then made 26 saves in Friday’s 5-2 upset win in St. Marys. In his last five appearances, Jake is 5-0 with a 1.92 GAA and a .936 save percentage for the Vipers, who are battling for a playoff spot in the Western Conference standings. He is the fourth Viper to receive Performer of the Week honours this season.

Eastern Conference:
Cameron Fries (Cambridge Redhawks)

The fourth-year from forward Cambridge scored the game winners for the first-place Redhawks in a pair of wins over Hamilton last week, extending his goal scoring streak to five games. The 9th round pick of the Sarnia Sting in 2022 had two goals in Thursday’s 5-3 win and then extended his point streak to 11 games with a pair of goals and assist in a 6-3 win on Saturday. Cameron’s 57 points are tied for 6th among GOHL scorers, and he is tied for 4th with 25 goals on the season.
